Living in the Love of God Part 2

Before I start this morning please accept my apology for the type error on the scripture refrence. The scripture references are in chapter four of 1 John. They are 1John 4:16-18 please forgive me for the mistake.Good morning and praise the Lord this is a glourious morning already may the Father open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there wont be room enough for you to contain it. Lets look at the next verse 1John 4:17"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement:because as he is,so are we in this world. As you and I devote our lives to God and become united to Him through our union and communion with Him the love of God is being perfected in us. This love is being brought to its completion in us. So that in the day of judgement we may have confidence as we face our Lord and stand in front of Him. The latter part of this verse really jumped out at me as I was studing these verses:because as he is,so are we in this world. As He is, we are to walk and talk as Jesus did we are to express the truth and love of God as Jesus did. And where are we to do this? We are to do it right here in this world we live in. How did Jesus walk He walked in confidence toward the Father that caused Him to trust the Father to meet his every need. He lived to express the Father love for man. He showed the Fathers love and compassion for fallen man. He came to present healing and deliverence to fallen man and to show him a way back to the Father that loves Him and cares for Him. This is the way you and I are to walk in this world living the sanctified life before fallen man so that they can truly see the redemptive love of God reaching out to them. The sad part of it is in some cases we are not promoting God we are promoting ourselves. Jesus came promoting the will and desire of the Father to all mankind. We need to truly humble ourselves before the Lord. Listen to the word of the Lord from Matt:18:4"Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. What is Jesus saying to us? Take on the attitude of the little child think for a moment how a little child respondes to us, they trust us,they show us unconditional love, even when in some cases they have been abused by the one they trusted, all that person has to do is ask them to forgive them and they are right there to forgive and get on with life. How many of us can say we have that humble attitude toward our adult relationships? I pray that you and I will truly open up to the true love of God and then begin to show that love to each other.Have a blessed and healthy day in Jesus. From Pastor Ken.
