Well good morning and praise the Lord. This morning the Lord woke me up with these three questions going over in my mind. 1. Will You Receive From God? 2.Can You Accept Gods Will? 3. Will You Stand On What You Receive?
For the next three days I would like to share one of these questions with you and the thoughts God has given me on these questions. So here is the first one"Will You Receive From God? As I sat here and thought upon this question this scripture came to mind. It is in the gospel of Mark 9:20-23. It is the story of a desperate father. This father has wathced his son from birth be over taken by some force and this force has literally tried to destroy this child. There are people out here everyday of there lives battleing the forces of evil and are becoming very desperate to find an answer. This father needed to find an answer to for his son. Now maybe this father had been hearing about the man from Galilee and he said I will take my son to him. He may have heard how Jesus was being used of God to heal the sick, give sight to the blind, etc. How many of us have down through the ages heard the storys of the great moves of God that has taken place and the great miracles that have happened in our life time. Listen to the words of this desperate father as he finds Jesus and begins to talk to him."And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: But if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us. Does it sound familiar how many times in desperation have we cried out to God and said where are you God I could really use some help here don't you care what is happening to me. Jesus speaks and says to the father how long has this been going on the father says ever since he was a child. With that satement we can percieve that this child was now a young man maybe in his teen years.I believe you and I need to see and here what Jesus is about to Say to this father."If thou Canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Our question to ouselves should be do I really believe that all things are possible to me if I believe in the power and truth of the word of God. I can be healed, Ican have peace of mind, I can have joy and experience the love of God all around me. Now listen to the words of the father after Jesus spoke these words to him."And straightway the father cried out with tears, Lord I believe; help thou mine unbelief. The father was saying Jesus I believe remove all doubt and unbelief so that it does not hinder my son from receiving his miracle this is what I believe the father meant when he said help thou mine unbelief. So the next time your back is up against the wall and you think there is no hope take a lesson from this father go to Jesus and cry out help thou mine unbelief.Remember these words from the prophet Jerimiah 29:11" For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord,Thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end. Just think God is thinking about you and he's not thinking of doing evil to you, but his thoughts are of peace toward you.The hebrew word for peace is shalam: and it means to make complete and to have peace, to be whole, and to be sound, and to be safe."Thou shalt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee.Isa 26:3. Here is the question for you "Will You Receive From God? Will you open up and let God into your life to reign? Have Blessed and Healthy Day In Jesus Name: From Pastor Ken.
