This last question is one that you and I must truly think upon. As we go to the Father and ask him thruogh the name of Jesus to heal us we must beleive that he will. However when we don't receive the immediate manifestation of that request we still have to stand on the word of God that says by his stripes you were healed.Listen to the words of James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the Word, and not heares only, deceiving your own selves. We just can't say we beleive it we have to be willing to act on what we beleive. In the case of healing we need to stay in agreement with the Word no matter what we might be feeling.Listen to this same verse from the amplified translation."But be doers of the Word[obey the message],and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves[into deception by reasoning contrary to the truth]. You and I must take on the attitude that Gods Word is the absolute truth. We cannot allow human reasoning to talk us out of the truth of God our Father. Jesus came into the earth to open our eyes to these great truths. And when we have to stand on the Word as the act of faith so be it because no matter what God is the one who backs his Word. Here is another translation of this same text."Don't fool yourself into thinking you are a listner when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear!!! Just because we read it and do nothing with it doesn't make us a believer. Beleiving is acting on what you hear is this not the way you and I got saved we heard the salvation message and the we were given a choice to act on what we heard or just let it go in one ear and out the other and walk away from the invitation to receive salvation. Those of us who heard the salvation message and answered the call had to act upon the Word we heard we had to get up out of our seat and walk toward the alter and ask Jesus to come into our heart. We could have sat there in that seat and said I agree with that but and just never followed through on what we believed. Beleiving is acting on the truth and staying committed to that truth wether it be for healing, finacial need, or whatever the need you have.
I guess the bottom line on this is this"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. I beleive our health will be strong if we are prospering our soul in the Word of God and acting on those great truths in our lives.Have a Blessed and Healthy Day IN Jesus Name!!! From Pastor Ken.
